Mini Facelift Option
Much as the name implies, a mini facelift is a less intensive procedure than a full facelift. The mini facelift is generally characterized by focusing on a smaller area and moving less skin. Even though it is less invasive and requires smaller incisions, a mini facelift can effectively lift wrinkles and tighten the skin. It comes with the added benefit of a shorter recovery time.
Should I Get a Facelift or Mini Facelift?
Multiple factors go into determining which type of facelift is right for a patient. One of the significant aspects to consider is how much skin will be moved. A mini facelift focuses on the skin around the lower portion of the face. Being centered on a limited area means a less invasive procedure. However, for sagging or excess skin around the neck, a more traditional facelift may be best.
When there is less skin to adjust, a mini facelift can generate stunning results. Smaller incisions mean less potential scarring for patients. Any likely scars are easily hidden behind the ear. When considering either type of facelift, your physician will help you understand which is right for you. Neither is inherently better or worse.
